Reflecting on 6 Years of Jaimy: From Startup to Scale-up 🛠️ LinkedIn gave it away... Six years ago, I had the opportunity to lead #Jamybybelfius, a corporate venture born from Belfius Insurance and Boston Consulting Group. In 2018, our mission was clear: help people care for their homes by matching them with local, available, and qualified professionals. Do I need to say that the journey wasn’t as straightforward as we thought? The global pandemic, the energy crisis, and other challenges forced us to pivot constantly (those fancy PowerPoints and Excels never saw these events coming 😁). Luckily my talented team found solutions. Our sales team created a quality network of building professionals. Our contact center helped people in times of flooding, storms or to get their charging post installed. Our development team programmed a technology to manage workflows, match supply and demand, and optimize tasks. This led to the creation of a new company #Fixxer ('23), a joint venture between Belfius Insurance and ASR Nederland. https://wllw.co/kMgO4kdzD now commercializes this powerful technology. More recently, we made our first acquisition. We welcomed https://wllw.co/i6SXOg0AT into the Jaimy family. Ajusto, a corporate venture from the Engie group, adds a talented team, a network of building professionals and another bit of technology to our offering. Today, Jaimy helps over 40,000 people yearly with home repairs, maintenance, installations, and certifications. We partner with insurance companies for damage repairs, offer urgent assistance, and provide mobile installation teams for companies, all supported by a technology, which can also be acquired independently.
